Battlefield 1943 help?

I just got some microsoft points and I stumbled across something called battlefield 1943. I played the demo and loved it. How many people still play this on xbox live? Is it hard to find a match? Because in the demo, it was extremely easy to find matches. Is this worth buying? I realize battlefield 3 is coming out soon, but people still will play this game too.
