Is it worth getting Battlefield 2 or 1943?

I'm new to the Battlefield series, and I'm really liking it, and I want to get one of the older games. Is it worth to get Battlefield 2, or atleast Battlefield 1943?Is it worth getting Battlefield 2 or 1943?
Not if you have a up to date computer system. The game is pretty old and losing popularity now. But yeah, if you want to try it go for it. It was pretty cool.
well it really comes down to a simple question of which kind of weaponry u like. modern or..erm.. historical?

i have both these games but battlefield 2 is far by the best
I've played battlefield 2 for the longest time, although i love the new BFBC2, BF2 will always be my favorite. Graphics aren't the best but the gameplay is just great and it's very exciting when you can talk to your whole squad as you're the pilot of a blackhawk 1 mile above the map telling them when to halo jump down onto enemy territory or spray 1000's of rounds at a vehicle we're chasing as we fly low over the water to not be detected by jets or anti-air missiles. But you need a gaming computer to play, not just some old house computer.

PC or console? BF2 Modern Combat is pretty much dead on the console, whereas Bf2 on the PC still has loads of players online, BF2142 also has a few players still, BF1942 not so many but you can find a good game, BF Vietnam is practically dead. BF1943 isn't available on the PC yet, I think you can get it on the console but I think it would be too similar to Bad Company 2 except with old weapons. Bf Heroes is free on the PC, but it's animated and a bit of a joke compared to the other Battlefield games.
